057 Apartment interior

The divider of the 2 spaces, between the living room and the entrance hall, is a sliding/folding door. This particular type of sliding/folding door was already present in the apartment in another room, between the hallway and the bathroom (designed by architect, Caroline Lambrechts). The same door system is duplicated with an addition of a reflective surface. The sliding/folding door becomes a spatial device that manipulates the relation and perception of the 2 spaces and the other interior objects in the livings space. The cabinets addresses the corner situation of the apartment, also with the use of reflective surfaces, open up the corners.
