053 Scenography for changing exhibition content in CCHA
In response to the given space and the program of the exposition, a ‘x’-structure is set up to divide the space into 4 parts, with 4 main themes. Between the scale of a furniture and a wall, the dividing panels are ‘lifted’ from the ground and made high enough to create a division while not entirely enclosing the space from the floor to the ceiling. The inverse ‘L-shaped’ vertical elements are re-used from a previous exposition by Voet architectuur. They are now incorporated into the new scenography, re-interpreted and used in a different manner. The L-elements create a ‘canopy’ which allow displays to be suspended from it. In addition to the top horizontal plane (due to the inverse L-element) another horizontal plane is created to give an additional surface for display. Part of the idea is also that this set-up can be re-configured into another set-up, if necessary, for future expositions.
A Scenography without content.
A framework for changing expositions. Photos of the scenography in ccha before the content was set up. Hence keeping an inventory (of the parts) can be useful. Parts can be added, subtracted, adjusted. The configuration can be recomposed, rearranged. The process can be repeated, refined, re-thought...
