The underlying, not-so-visible, geometry or rather guiding geometry is a equilateral triangle - each side 60 degrees to each other. The vertical columns of the shelf are arranged at 60º in relation to each other.. But the horizontal construcion seem to show a different idea, connected perpendicular to each other.  A simple shelf with a little play in geometry.
